COST Action FP1105 workshop participation

Members of the Chair of Forest Biomaterials present their research at the final workshop "Functional wood and cellulose-based materials" of the COST Action FP1105.

The time you spend at research meetings is always wonderful but it gets lovelier when you share it with your lab colleagues. Students and post-docs from the Chair of Forest Biomaterials attended the final workshop of the COST Action FP1105 "Understanding wood cell wall structure, biopolymer interaction and composition: implications for current products and new material innovation" held at the Swiss Federal Laboratories for Materials Science and Technology (EMPA) in Dubendorf on Aug 31st to Sep 1st.

Aside from having the opportunity to present own research, meeting old friends and making new ones, all participants could gain inspiration from the excellent scientific presentations from prominent researchers in the field of Nanocellulose, supramolecular chemistry, functional materials and cellulose biosynthesis. The atmosphere was rich in scientific discussions and networking, especially during the dinner time.
